Meet the Manager: Brandi Minico

Sunny Street Café in Westerville is full of character. Knick-knacks on the walls, cute little sayings on the chalkboard, and deep involvement with the community makes everyone who enters feel right at home. Brandi Minico has been helping build that feel-good, comfortable feeling since the restaurant opened 7 ½ years ago. Brandi grew up in Westerville, was married there, and now lives just outside in the country.

MEET THE MANAGER: BRANDI MINICO

Do you have any pets?

  • I have 5 dogs, all rescue dogs, from a 4 pound chihuahua to a 150 pound lab. I live in the country so you just open the door and everyone just runs and plays!

What is your favorite book?

  • Charlotte’s Web! I check it out of the library all the time, it has such heart. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years now and love anything and everything to do with animals.

Last chance: Enjoy our Comforts Classics menu one last time!

What is your favorite movie?

  • Anything from the 80’s. I love Footloose, the original, of course. That would be my all time favorite. But I also love old black and white movies. Greer Garson is my favorite actress, particularly her in the 1941 movie “Blossoms in the Dust.” Oh, and Joan Crawford! She’s a great actress.

Do you have a favorite dish?

  • I used to eat a ton of pasta, but now all I crave is broccoli. Oh wait, and I LOVE cheese.
